Grab your umbrella! Here are Pêche Petite’s most recent baby shower cakes!
Let’s start with lil’ baby Henry! His grandma ordered the shower cake and wanted a precious bedtime scene for the decoration. Paige handmade a darling baby boy underneath a white blanket with baby blue trim.
He’s got his pacifier in his mouth and a teddy bear by his side. White and blue flowers accent the sides of the blanket and also form a border around the bottom of the cake. A petite blue bow is the finishing touch.
Thanks Grandma Gail for the pictures of the tablescape!!
For a twist on the sleeping baby motif, just the little feet and diaper are showing on our second shower cake. Obviously this is for a girl so the colors are pinks.
For added flare, Paige made fondant zebra strips and hand-painted the cheetah spots on the tiers! The bows are a sweet touch.
The last cake is near and dear to my heart. One of my best friends is expecting her first baby, and I wanted to make her shower super special! I’m not much of a planner but I think it turned out quite nice.
Her mom and I spend an evening with a bottle of wine making tissue paper puff balls for decorations. It just so happens Angel’s favorite cake is coconut, and the flaked coconut on the sides echos the texture of the puff balls. Paige made pink ombré ruffles for the bottom tier, a vanilla cake. I made a second cake for the party – a diaper cake!
Angel won’t tell anyone the baby’s name, so we played a game where everyone wrote down their guesses. After we read the names, Angel said she still wasn’t telling anyone til the birth! The longest running baby shower game ever! All in all, a lovely shower for my bestie!
